Graduated in Law from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 1990. Postgraduate degree in Tax Law from Candido Mendes University (UCAM), under the coordination of the Brazilian Association of Financial Law (ABDF), by the Center for University Studies and Extension of São Paulo, and in Economic and Business Law from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV-RJ).
Tax lawyer with a focus on strategic litigation, representing national and international clients from various sectors of the economy in tax proceedings at both the administrative and judicial levels. A large part of his work involves defining strategies and conducting highly complex litigation before courts and administrative adjudication bodies. Author of several articles in prominent publications, he is frequently invited to speak on panels related to substantive and procedural tax law issues, including symposia and seminars promoted by the School of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ), the Brazilian Bar Association – Rio de Janeiro Section (OAB/RJ), the Commercial Association of Rio de Janeiro, the Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FIRJAN), the Construction Industry Union of the State of Rio de Janeiro (SINDUSCON-Rio), and International Business Communications (IBC). He is a full member of the OAB-RJ and Vice-President of the Special Commission on Tax Matters. Member of the Permanent Forum on Tax Law of the School of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro. He was coordinator and professor in specialization courses in Tax Law (1994-2000) under the coordination of Candido Mendes University (UCAM), Institute of Business Studies (IEE), Brazilian Association of Financial Law (ABDF) and School of Magistrates of the State of Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ).
